broken arm and frustrations

No, I have not posted here all these days because I migrated to Israel.

I haven't posted here because I broke my arm. Yes, my right arm and being horribly right-handed it ain't easy to type into a keyboard with your left hand.

Now my arm is much better but the last few weeks, my frustrations have built up so much about not being able to write what my mind wanted me to write and my hand was dying to type into the keyboard. However, my friends or so-called friends have been expressing their discomfort at my blogspot. Yes, they are working in the government; yes some of them are DRP members, yes, they are worried that I might be seen as "anti-government" when I should be a bit more careful in what I write; HELL! I have never heard so much whinging in my whole life. So the bottom line is they are pretty much thrilled that I broke my arm and couldn't type into my goddamn computer.

OK, Hari Kunzru pretty much summed it up in his article in the Gaurdian magazine today when he wrote "Maldivians have good reason to be wary of expressing dissent."

Maybe they have a reason; maybe they are concerned about my welfare; but sorry my dear, its going to take more than a broken arm to stop my bit.
