Can you solve these puzzles?

Got into some lateral thinking...can you solve these?

1/ A traveller set out on a journey and stopped only when he returned to the starting point. During that journey, his head travelled 36 feet further than his feet, yet his feet remained attached to his body. What is the explanation for this?

2/ Ahmed and Ibrahim went on a picnic to an uninhabited island. They took a bet as to see who could run faster. Ahmed ran halfway into the island in half an hour. Ibrahim claimed that he had gone two-thirds of the way into the island in the same time, but Ahmed said it was impossible. Why?

3. The maker does not need it, the buyer does not use it, and the user uses it without knowing. What is it?

I will post the solutions later but I am sure you can solve it..hehe

1. He went round the globe. The man's head was six feet from the ground so the radius of the circle travelled by his head is six feet greater than the circle travelled by his feet. The difference in the circumferences of the circles is 2(pi) x 6 = 36.

second one dho..umm..because ahmed wanted to win =p

3. coffin

lol..i really duno the second one =D

Answer to no 2 is you can only run halfway into the island. Then you are running out of the island
