Replacing His Foreverness’s Golhabo’s 8 Minions (answering the Kutt)

Talking about Political absurdities, it is my contention that this Kutti of a Fool has actually come up with some sensible arguments. Surprise! Surprise! Wonder where his allegiance will swing this time?

I too think that it is a political absurdity that the 8 stinking minions of His Foreverness Golhaabo For Life should continue under the new Government! Might throw a spanner into the hard earned works of those who actually did and are in the process of bringing true democracy to the Maldives.

Hell! Even I would not take into this Firedom any coot who did not agree with me in the past! So what’s the big deal about all this?

Let’s see. According to my previous article, His Foreverness Golhaabo For Life was never a president of the Maldives under the new constitution. He was just another presidential candidate who sorely lost under the second round of the elections, which means that there can never be his Presidential elected members in the Parliament. The reason is that he has repealed the old constitution and henceforth his elected members should not exist under the new constitution. Period!

Kutti! Why are you running around the burning bush? At one time you say the old constitution does not exist and the next instance you say it exists and the new constitution is a creature of the old constitution. Don’t make me chase my forked tail around in hell! There can only be ONE constitution in a country! Either this or that! I see why you are saying there are two constitutions or that the new one gains power from the old one! When you want to seek power and privileges and prolong the seat of His Foreverness Golhaa for Life’s 8 minions, you cry that the old constitution exists! When Anni Not For Life elects his members, you cry foul and say that the new constitution does not provide for his 8 elected little demons! What bloody sodding nonsense! This is the same as His Foreverness For Life trumpeted when he wanted Privileges due an ex-president under the New Constitution.

Since we are talking of legal issues, lets see what arguments we can put forth against Kutti and His Foreverness for Golhaa. First, the new constitution does not provide for the appointment or removal of the previously elected 8 minions nor for the newly elected 8 demons. So what is to stop Anni Not For Life from electing his 8 demons? He did not do anything unconstitutional by electing them, since the constitution is silent on the matter. There is no illegality or any issue of an act ultra vires to the constitution. When His Foreverness For Life, wanted to change his members or dismiss any member of Parliament he did so at his demented whim and fancy. Well! Atleast Anni Not for Life is doing according to the “precious” procedures that Kutti is now so vehemently protecting! Hehehehe!! Kutt. You also said:
“While it may be logical to say that any member appointed by the president can be dismissed or replaced by the president, law does not always follow logic Law requires specific procedures to be outlined in the constitution to do that. This is especially so, when different countries have different procedures for appointing or nominating members to parliament”.

Since when were you so very much concerned about the proper legal principles? When his Foreverness For Life was thrown out on his royal tush onto the streets? Hehe..My dear evil Kutti, you want to eat the cake and the cherry on top of it! Believe you me, you are one cunning little demon! Since Law required specific procedures and we follow logic, not fancy, it is only right that Anni Not For Life replace the old 8 minions with his 8 little demons. This is logic! This is correct! And you yourself stated that the current Parliament is locked within the new constitution. Again! This gives Anni the power to replace His Foreverness Golhaa’s 8 minions with his own little demons.

Kutti, you also mentioned with your sneaky tongue that:
“Therefore, it is imperative that the constitution provide procedures to appoint, dismiss and replace appointed members in the old parliament. However, no such procedure is there in the current constitution”.

Now whose fault was this? His Foreverness NEVER AGREED in the first place to come up with a PROPERLY DRAFTED CONSTITUTION whereby he may undermine his powers! Bloody Hell! He never expected to Lose this time! Therefore it is his own death trap that he has walked into! Hehehehe….sorry old coot! You lost!

Therefore under the same anology whereby the new constitution does not give power to appoint new members, then under that anology, the old constitution does provide for the replacement of His Foreverness for Life’s 8 stinking minions!

You should be the one to talk about the Democratic way of electing members, let alone Democracy! Ha! Makes me wanna puke putrid pus! Atleast Anni Not For Life is doing the right thing, by coming up on TV and announcing that any decision of the Court on the matter would be honoured and obeyed. Since when did your Master, His Foreverness Golhaa For Life actually uttered such noble words? Did you honestly think that Anni Not For Life is going to jeopardize the rights and liberties and trust of the people of Maldives as your Master has done! Never! Or else he shall answer to me.

So be a good little Kutti, and go to bed instead of trying to stir up some silly little mischief!

Golhaabo, Aneesa and "Presidential Privileges"

Feeling quite historical (not hysterical yet) at the moment I found that Bernard H. Bourdill, the then acting Governor of Ceylon, visited Maldives in 1930 to advise the then Sultan and the government of the Maldives in drafting of the First Constitution. The compiled Constitution contained 92 articles. It took exactly 1 year, 8 months and 22 days from the Sultan's decree to draft a Constitution to the ratification of the document.

Today we have a new constitution, ratified on 7th August 2008, and after a lot of tail bending, tongue biting and horn twisting, a little demon, whispered in my septic ears, that His Foreverness Golhaabo for Life our God is hell bent on abusing it again, unsatisfied that he has already violated the old constitution. Bloody burning hell!!

As argued by Hamittey's son Shaheen, representing the Elections Commission, the constitution was “new”. Ehehehee…freak!! Constitutions can never be repealed legally!! They can only be amended, unless a revolution takes place.

In over 40 articles, he said, the constitution refers to itself as “this constitution” meaning past constitutions are void. Ho hum!! Another so-called “legal” interpretation made and fed by His Foreverness uncle.

Clause 293(b), noted Hameed, specifies that “upon the commencement of this Constitution, the ‘Constitution of the Republic of the Maldives’ which came into force on 1 January 1998 shall be repealed.” It is on this basis that His Foreverness Golhaabo for Life our God claimed that THAT is the reason why the 30 years of his rule cannot be counted and he can face elections again and that he did this time. So therefore his 30 year rule is not part of this new constitution. I have seen his Foreverness say this on my new Flaming Red293Ghetto TV. Go have a looksy at Hamaroalhi or Haveeru or whatever news that takes your fancy.

Come to Hell Shaheen!!! Were you planning to be another bloody embarrassment to the Legal Profession of Maldives, like my rosy pudgy pie Azima Sukoor. And as for the judges who knows steaming-crap about proper legal theories, who, in their “infinite judicial wisdom” ruled for Golhaa, the saying goes, “Out of every three judges, two will go to hell”. Come to Papa!!! I have made a nice burning bed of fire for them…stoking them hot as I speak!!

Here is the funny thing: Under Clause 107 of the new constitution, which sets the two-term limit, specifically says no President elected “pursuant to this constitution” may serve more than two terms, whilst the transitional chapter states the upcoming presidential elections will be the first held under this constitution, the Elections Commission argued.

The truth (oh! It hurts to say that!!), is His Foreverness Golhaa said that he was running for Presidency under the new constitution. AND HE LOST!!! And right under the bloody blooming New Constitution…hehehehe…
Even though His Foreverness Golhaa lost, he still is pursuing the lavish life he had before under the new constitution. WTFing Hell!

According to the new constitution Article 128 states:

“Raaisul Jumhooriyaa kamuge magaam gai huri meehaku kuh veri nuve qaanoonee hamathakuge mathin vakivejje nama dhaulathge emme mathee verikan koffaivaa meehakah dheyn jehey izzathaai gadharaai ekasheegen vaa fadha rakkaa theri kamaai maalee inaaya thaai ehenihen inaayathah emeehakah haggu vaane eve. Mi gothun dhevey rakkaatheri kamaai inaayahthah gaanoonu gaa bayaan kuran vaaane eve”.

Now we know what the Ol’ Foreverness is after! IF GOLHAA SAYS THAT HE HAS NOT RULED UNDER NEW CONSTITUTION AND THAT IS WHY HE COULD RUN FOR OFFICE THIS TIME, then he should not be given any “khaassa inaayaiy” (privileges) under the NEW CONSTITUTION because HE HAS Not RULED UNDER the new CONSTITUTION!!He cannot have it BOTH WAYS!! When it comes to power he wants to run under the old constitution and the new one. My little dark minions, we can’t let him take this one!

That old bag of an Aneesaththa is making me wanna twist off that rotten, old wrinkly tongue of hers with my Trident!! My little evil ones, I am sure you know I am talking about the Bill she is trying to push through in the Parliament. Aneesaththa, not being satisfied of ol man pyromaniac Abbas's amourous moves, now wants to back up His Foreverness. Well, you can kiss his dimpled tush if you think you can pass this Bill!

This is what the Bill states:
According to the Bill:
Article 2: (NOONU) he should be addressed as PRESIDENT (Raees) Officially!!!
Article 3: (that he should be paid the same salary as the President's salary by the state.
Article 4: provided a residence and office staff by the state.
Article 7: provided health care by the state and abroad and if he had a special doctor, then the services of that specialist doctor should be provided at the state expense.

Aneesa, darling! Listen to the Devil. You are evil! But not as evil as me!! Never!! Did you honestly (a word I abhor) think that you can get away with this, when your dumb-witted, old His Foreverness for Life Golhaa, by his own lying tongue, said that he has not ruled under the new constitution? Hehehehe…you are really stupid. Must make a new burning cove in Hell to house the kinds of you! Move over Judas!

Oh! Yeah! There is a legal terminology for the things that you and Your Foreverness Golhaa are going to do to this new constitution. It’s a simple two letter latin word called “Ultra Vires”. Ask any lawyer. It means acting in excess of and therefore against the powers conferred by a law, the Constitution being the supreme law of a nation, making your actions VOID under the Constitution!! You, my crazy ol’ Foreverness for Life Golhaabo Our God, is trying to fool the nation and the Devil again. And Aneesa Bag thinks she knows the law well enough to help you? Hehehe…..My Bloody Hell! You are cunning.

The basic argument is SINCE GOLHAA HAS CLAIMED HIMSELF THAT HE HAS NOT RULED UNDER THIS CONSITITUTION AND SINCE HE CLAIMS THAT IT IS A NEW CONSTITUTION, THEN THEREFORE HE CANNOT CLAIM ANYTHING AS AN OUTGOING RULER...BECAUSE BY THE SAME RULE, HE HAS NOT RULED UNDER THIS CONSTITUTION.

And that my little minions, is the end of tonight’s bedtime story. Have to get that burning bed ready for the Judges and a new hot cove to house my darling sweetie Aneesa! Dig?

To Charge or not to Charge His Foreverness Golhaabo

I am particularly in a more Devilish mood then ever today. Given the fact that there was absolute mayhem in Helldom, with some nasty old bags like Aneesa making a hallabaloo about how His Foreverness Golhaabo For Life Our God is braying about how he wants a pension the size of which rivals the treasury of all Helldom! I have a crink in my arthritic neck from constantly saying “no” to that one!

Well, like we have all been anticipating my little evil ones, the day has come that Anni was dragged to the Courts.
"He was canvassing at the polling station – there are allegations that he was asking people to vote for him," said EC legal officer Azmiralda Zahir, a day before the runoff election day, in an interview given to Minivan News. True a charge has been lodged against Anni. But lets see weather we can frame against our Lord Mighty Golhaabo for the crimes that he has committed against the people of Maldives. Hehehe….

Well she may contend that but Azmiralda, you having read law should be well aware of one thing, that; a prima facie case is made out against the accused where the prosecution has adduced credible evidence proving each ingredient of the offence, which if unrebutted, or unexplained, would warrant a conviction”. When the magistrate upon taking all the evidence available, deems that it is insufficient to establish a prima facie case against the accused, the magistrate is entitled to acquit the accused. In addition to this the prosecution must close its case before the court could act under para (f) and decide whether a prima facie case has been made or not. The case of Haw Tua Tau (1981) 2 MLJ 49 decided by the Privy Council in Singapore under Section 188(1) of the Singapore CPC was in pari material with the Malay CP which is the translation draft to be implemented in Maldives, Per Lord Diplock, what the essence of the section was that the judge must consider whether there is some evidence (need not be inherently incredible) which if the judge were to consider as accurate, would establish each and every element of the crime, which was alleged. If such evidence has not been, then the judge has the function of deciding to call upon the accused to enter his defence. Given the fact that Anni’s pass to the election polling station was one issued by the Elections Commission, how this would incriminate him is beyond comprehension of my bald, two horned, firey head! If the evidence adduced by the prosecution was incredible, then a prima facie case cannot be stated and each and every essential element of the accused has not been proved, which no doubt in Maldives would be BLOODY INCREDIBLY STUPID!!!

Hehehe… charging His Foreverness Golhabo For Life should be pretty easy eh mateys, in? All the killings that occurred in the jail, all the corruption charges (the evidence issued by the Auditor General should be particularly juicy for anyone, whose interests are affected by all the embezzlements that have taken place). Of course His Foreverness is going to deny all of it!
But considering the fact that there is ample evidence against his Foreverness, shall we try to frame a charge against him? Definitely! And if the State is refusing to prosecute His Foreverness, a private prosecution can also be made! How? Hehehe…let the Devil show you how..

A private prosecution is a criminal offence case initiated by an individual or organization other than the state-funded prosecutor. In countries which allow such prosecutions, the procedure is typically used in circumstances where the public prosecutor believes the case not to be in the public interest. The public prosecutor may also suspect that the defendant is guilty, but believe there to be insufficient evidence for a conviction: in this case the public prosecutor may have the authority to block the private prosecution in order to prevent a future public prosecution with better evidence from being prevented by the principle of double jeopardy. The public prosecutor may also have the authority to take over the private case for other reasons.

In order to initiate a private prosecution an individual or organization other than the state-funded prosecutor goes to the local court of appropriate jurisdiction (Criminal or Provincial) and gets in line to see a Judge to swear on oath in an attempt to convince the Justice or Judge that there is enough evidence to demonstrate a reasonable probability of conviction.
Once the Justice or Judge has been convinced of such, he or she will issue an "information" which is a form telling the name and occupation of the informant (the person swearing to the Justice or the Judge) the name and address of the alleged offender, and the description of the alleged Offence.

The Justice or Judge will sign the "information" form and issue a summons to the defendant with a date to appear in court. The informant then delivers the summons to the defendant in the prescribed manner and court proceedings are commenced.
First with all the corruption charges. This should be pretty simple! There is evidence that he has emptied the State Coffers to bribe his cronies to support him. How did houses such as Rabee-ee Manzil, or Loan Star Zahirs, or Aneesa’s or Sheereen’s reach the skies? Surely the money did not fall out of the sky? Then, whose money was it? OURS!!! Not His Foreverness Golhabo’s. How do we know this? Refer to the Auditor Generals Report. It’s an independent Government formed Institution which stating that money has been used for purposes other than State uses.

Second of, regarding all the Killings and Tortures taken place throughout the years, inside his Jails! People like Evan Naseem’s mother, and ANYONE who has been broken in the iron fists of His Foreverness must bring charges against him!
So how do you go on about bringing a criminal charge against his Foreverness..Follow these instructions;
Unlike in civil cases, there is no statute of limitations (time limit) on criminal charges. You should have certain information before you can bring a criminal charge. This should be easy enough for torture victims, people who have lost their properties to the fancies of His Foreverness etc etc.

Quite simply, you either write a letter to the police (or go there yourself), and tell them that you were assaulted or that your property was confiscated against the law or that your business was affected by His Foreverness and his cronies, and want to press charges. You must go to the police department and division where the crime took place and make your complaint to them. Give them copies of your documentation, in case they get lost.

Keep in mind that it is not necessary to have the police bring your case to the courts for you. It is possible that the police won’t do anything, because they have what is called discretion in pursuing a crime. If the police fail to take action, you should go directly to a Justice of the Peace. Again, you would go to the court that covers the area where the crime took place. Show them your documentation and they must help you from there. In cases like this, it is sometimes possible for a lawyer to be found who will work on your case for free. Hehehe…my hands are too full with all the cronies of our Beloved Lord Golhaabo already chained to my doggy house! All the best!

Golhaabo and (Un)Democratic Laws

Recently His Foreverness Golhaabo our God has been trying to get into the good books of the public and the newly elect Anni...one wonders why the sudden change of attitude? anyway any right minded person, the least bit interested in "true freedom" and democracy can fathom the fact that the His Foreverness Golhaabo our God is up to some no good! I have this horrible hunch that the old coot is going to take matters into his blood soaked hands very soon, i.e. before the snap elections take place...now lets see what I have in my Necronomicon book..First, butter up Anni to give His Foreverness Golhaabo our God a pension equivalent to the salary he received when he was walking all over the Maldivians..next, try to convict Anni for the so-called "Elections Fraud". now this should be an interesting thing to note..Fraud! Ah! My favourite legal word in the whole of Helldom!

Lets all talk about Elections Fraud shall we?..

Legally speaking (am I am the advocate of all things evil..hehe) anyone who alleges a fact against another party will always have the burden of proving the FACT that he alleges, throughout the trial. And there are two types of burden to prove in any case..Legal Burden and Evidentiary burden. If His Foreverness Golhaabo our God has to prove a case (and I doubt he will) the legal burden has to be proved BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. Why? Because in any country Election Frauds are deemed to be criminal in nature. See the case of: Tiong Thai King. IF His Foreverness Golhaabo our God can prove this legal burden (not much of a help with the Azima "wasdhuvaa" Sukoor in tow) then only can he have a prima facie case in the first place. Next, he has to prove the Evidentiary burden..Proof that Anni was in breach of Elections Regulations or Laws or whatever we have it right here in Maldives. Where is this evidential proof that will incriminate Anni? He had a valid pass to the elections area PROVIDED by the Elections Commission. So what wrong has he committed when he was given the pass to go there and he used it? No one stopped him! Officials at the elections area saw him come and go and did nothing to stop him or warn him. So how can His Foreverness Golhaabo our God say that there is a Breach of Elections Laws? hehehe...see..His Foreverness Golhaabo our God will stop at nothing to give up his iron-grip on the Maldivians.

Just to pass gas from his obnoxious arse, His Foreverness and Leader for Life Golhaabo our God is making or cooking or currying another one of his fantasy jargon stories. Take a break will you Pharoah Golhaa!

Another thing Golhaa has been trumpeting about is that the snap elections are a crime. May I inquire under what law? I make crimes, I make do people nasty things, and that too legally..hehehe..So His Holiness Golhaabo our God is finally going to take my place as well eh? Well, I'll see about that!

His Foreverness Golhaabo doesn't have an inkling as to what Law to use..hehe..small wonder with all the useless laws we have in Maldives. Laws are made for the protection of the society, not to use it like shit-wiping paper used in Theemuge. Courts in Male' will be well advised to use the criminal law prudently. No man can be charged for a crime and then sentenced guilty without proper proof. Who are the Courts going to call as witnesses? Its only the Police who take the oath in Maldivian Courts, in criminal matters. There is no gate-way to control this at the moment. See, in any criminal case, evidence has to be of such a high quality, that any conviction based on uncorroborated evidence ought to be rejected. Even if the evidence is given by a policeman, how can the Courts believe it on face value? What makes anyone think that such evidence was given without an oblique motive on behalf of Our Beloved Leader for Forever Golhaabo. What is corroborated evidence you say? It is extrinsic evidence which is unrelated to the incident at hand which will connect the accused to the material fact at hand and not only to the crime itself..And it is essential we all remember that His Holier-than-thou Golhaabo our God won't even recognise what the proper legal methods are of incriminating anyone...The only good our laws made by His Foreverness Golhaabo, can bring us is to make us feel weaker by the day...so there...until and unless Anni changes the arbitrary laws in our country His Foreverness Golhaabo will make use of all the useless laws to incriminate Anni!

Mulee Aage for the former Dictator? NEVER!

Now that people are still in celebratory mood after the end of the 30 year old Dictatorship and our Foreverness and Beloved Leader (NOT hehe) for Life Golhaabo is now obliterated from the Presidency forever, it is understandable that people are feeling a bit conciliatory towards the old man a little bit. But to give him Mulee-Aage to live is outrageous! WTF! With thousands of poor people like us cramped into tiny rooms the size of a cardboard box, the old goat who has swindled the country of millions SHOULD UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES be given the former Presidential Palace to live! What on earth is the Wathan Edhey Gothah alliance of parties thinking of? If they give the Mulee-Aage to Golhaabo I demand my vote back.

Think of this. It is all well and good that former President's are given some kind of state pension and state protection. But with thousands of families facing housing problems, why should he take priority over us? My neighbour Mohamed Fulhube has been living with his 5 children and their spouses and their children in a cramped tiny two bedroomed house for the last 8 years. Even to breathe fresh air they need to go outside on the road. I believe he deserves to live in Mulee-Aage much more than Golhaabo and his wailing family. For god's sake, they have their own home Kinbigasdhoshuge! Why not go and live there? Madame Nattu has Endherimaage to live. Why not go there?

I for one would protest in front of Hilaaleege or wherever our President-elect Mohamed Nasheed Anni is residing if they indeed decide to give Mulee-Aage to golhaabo and I am sure I will not be alone.

How many of you think that the homeless poor people in Male deserves to live in Mulee-Aaage then Golhaabo and his family who have their own house Kinbigasdhoshuge? Lemme know.

and let me say this to His Excellency Anni "Sir, we know you are a generous person but THIS IS SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE! THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HERE WHO ARE MORE DESERVING TO LIVE IN MULEE-AAGE THAN GOLHAABO! UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN YOU LET HIM GO AND LIVE THERE! NO WAY MATE, NO WAY!"

the Dictator, MDP, the British and Christianity

Ooooh! I am bloody scared! MDP will bring Christianity to the Maldives! I shall have my work cut out as the devil.

our Beloved Pharoah for Life Golhaabo is desperately throwing everything at his opponent now that the push has come to shove. But what he throws can be equally thrown back. Our Beloved God and Leader for Life, Golhaabo claims that the MDP is going to make the Maldives into a British colony and we will all be converted into Christianity. And the proof of it?

Anni studied in the UK! So therefore he must be Christian, right? WTF! that old demented, dim-witted fart is becoming unfunnier by the second.

I just dug a little and see what I found.

- Golhaabo's four children Farish, Dunya, Yumna and Ghassan studied in the UK - Dunya and Yumna studied at St.George School and then Yumna studied in Oxford. Dunya went to CHRIST'S COLLEGE in Cambridge named after Jesus Christ . It says on their website "Christ's College was first established as God's-house in 1437 by William Byngham, a London parish priest" so the College is actually established to spread Christianity. And Golhaabo's Dunya studied there and was known to sing in the church choir.

Christ College chapel choir in procession

Farish Maumoon studied at Eton College, London. It says on the college website "Eton is a religious foundation and religion continues to play a central role in the life of the community"

"Boys of the Jewish, Islamic and and other faiths are excused Sunday Chapel if their parents wish, but are expected to take part in School services on weekdays . " and it goes on to say "Services in both Chapels follow the practice of the Church of England."

So Farish Maumoon must have participated in the School Services by Church of England!

Eton College Church

- Golhaabo is the only one who has imported a Cross into the Maldives. The Grand Cross of St.Michael and St.George. No one has imported a Cross into the Maldives.

OTHER PROMINENT GOLHAA FAMILY AND DRP CRONIES WHO STUDIED IN THE UK

- Nattu's three nieces Zuha, Nuha, and Aminath Ulaa (fareesha and summeray's kids) studied in the Uk. Nuha is married to a British guy and their eldest child is called Jude.

- Golhaabo's nephews Shaheen Hameed, Yassin Hameed, and niece Hala Hameed studied in UK. Shaffa Hameed is studying in UK right now.

- Boh Mundhood also studied in the UK.

- Thasmeen studied in University of Warwick, UK.

- it was golhaabo who got help from Hill & Knowlton of the UK

- it was golhaabo's personal photographer Hassan Najmy who was the head of the Maldivian church

- It was golhaabo's Executive Director at the Presidential Palace, Adam Naeem, whose clinic AMDC (Association of Maldivian Devotees to Christ) was the centre of the missionary work in the Maldives in the nineties.

So who was it who has more connection with the UK and Christianity?

DON'T VOTE FOR ANNI, the PERSON! VOTE FOR DEMOCRACY

DON’T VOTE FOR ANNI, THE PERSON- VOTE FOR A DEMOCRATIC MALDIVES

Many people are in a dilemma as who to vote for because they are caught between a rock and a hard stone. Many who supported Dr.Hassan Saeed or Qasim are at their wits end as to what to do now. Some people say Maumoon is better than Anni. Some say Anni is a mini-Maumoon. Is it the case of the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t? (and I am not talking about me hehe).

Let’s look at some hard facts:

1 Which of these has murdered our own people?

2. Which of these has turned a blind eye to his own citizens being tortured in jail?

3. Which of these has given more top jobs to his family and relatives? Maumoon in his cabinet? Or Anni in the MDP?

4. Which of these has misused state-funds for his own use living a lavish lifestyle where as people like you and I are living in cramped conditions? Do we know of any accusations against Anni misusing MDP funds to live a better lifestyle?

A lot of my friends who voted for Dr.Hassan Saeed are worried about voting for Anni because they are caught in DRP’s hard-sell that Anni is a mini-version of Maumoon. Ok. For argument's sake let us accept that it is true. My question is would you rather vote for a mini-version of Maumoon or would you rather vote for the Mega-version of Maumoon, which to me is a thousand times worse?

Finally, the issue is that we Maldivians are still living in closed dictatorial mind-set where we think that if we vote for Anni he will be able to get away with what our beloved leader for Foreverness Maumoon had done for the last 30 years.

My friends, THAT is where you are wrong. We are not voting for Anni. We are voting for democracy. If Anni is not up to scratch, if Anni does not deliver, if Anni fails on his promises, then we the people have a better chance to remove him from power in a vote of no-confidence rather than Golhaabo. It is us the people who are getting power, not Anni.

That small man of an Anni cannot do ANYTHING without OUR support. We can just as unmake him the way we make him. But if we vote for democracy, then it is here for good. Then we are FREE!

DON’T VOTE FOR ANNI, the Person! VOTE FOR DEMOCRACY! VOTE FOR FREEDOM! VOTE MDP!

Hulhumale Bridge -the cost of foreign investment

When our Beloved Leader and President for Life, His Mightiness, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, announced that in the next five years he is going to build a big bridge between Hulhumale' and Male' and it will not cost us anything (Dhivehin nakah buradhan ufulaa kah nujeheyne) as it would be build using foreign investment, my Kaafa thought that means ...hey! We are getting a bridge for FREE!! And perfect reason to re-elect our God for another five more years. Yippee!

WTF! Nothing can be further from the truth. No company is going to invest in building a bridge for free out of the goodness of their heart. They would expect to make a decent PROFIT from the bridge. How? By charging the people who use it. And how much would we have to pay? I can bet on His Mightiness's Pimply derrière that it would cost nothing less than US $ 100 million! So how much would us, the poor people who want to use the bridge, have to pay every time we want to use it? And I bet it would cost a hundred times more than what we pay now for the ferry.

Moreoever, the foreign investment comes with its RISKS. For example, the investor does not have to be "completely obedient to the economic policies of the country where they have invested the money. At times there have been adverse effects of foreign direct investment on the balance of payments of a country."

What drives me livid, irate and choleric is that His Foreverness Maumoon has made it sound as if it would be no burden on us. I give you, he can lie through his teeth without a blink of those slimy eyes. What a load of tosh! The burden would have to be born by us people of Male'/Hulhumale.

Don't get me wrong. I am not against a bridge between Hulhumale' and Male'. As someone who would be moving to Hulhumale' soon I would be happy to travel via a bridge rather than a choppy sea any day. And if I can afford it, I would gladly pay for the toll.

My bone of contention with Our one and only Leader for Life is HE LIED saying that people will not have to pay for it. Whether it is build by foreign investment or from our own budget, we will still have to pay for it.

The people of Maldives will still have to pay for the bridge. CAPISCE?

Gayoom disowns Dunya as daughter - so will the real daddy please stand up!

I was shocked blue last night and could not believe my ears when I heard our beloved President, God and Leader for Forever Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom last night declare on Dhifm that he has no family members in the top strata of the government. That means that Dunya Maumoon, the loabi loabi Deputy MInister of Foreign Affairs is not his daughter (and subsequently Yumna by the virtue of the fact that she is Dunya's twin)

This confession that Dunya (and Yumna) are not his daughters is not surprising, says one of his ex-cronies. It is alleged that Madame She-Lady was pregnant when His Foreverness married her. So short of undergoing a paternity test to establish the fatherhood of the twins, one could only speculate as to the possible and probable daddy that they might have of which there are two serious contendors.

First and number one on the list is Zahir Hussain. Zahir Hussain was the one that Nasreena Madam She-Lady married when our Beloved Leader for Life divorced her in a triple divorce (thin fah vari). So it is possible that she married him of all people because she has already been with him in the past. Maybe he is the real father of the twins.

Second on the list is Fathulla Jameel. Fathey was apparently Nasreena's first love. When he dumped her she was heart-broken and apparently refused to eat for several days (Un-break my heart Say you'll love me again Undo this hurt you caused.._

Ãœber-mysterious eh?

So WILL THE REAL DADDY PLEASE STAND UP..

SHOULD THE MDP JOIN THE QASIM COALITION?

Dhivehi Observer reported that, "Male’ - 12:30 - Adhaalath Party and Maldives National Congress have formally endorsed Qasim Ibrahim’s presidential bid".

What the DO did not raise is the issue whether the MDP would join in?

And why not? The MDP was formed to bring reform to the Maldives; in effect, to try and establish a proper multi-party democracy where each of us would be guaranteed our fundamental rights as human beings, not just in name but in practice as well. So far so good.

But then why should the MDP join the Republican Party's bid to bring Qasim to power when they are fielding their own candidate? Surely this is against their party ethos to support another candidate's bid? And what guarantee is there that backing Qasim would bring democracy to the Maldives?

IF YOU ACCEPT THAT MAUMOON ABDUL GAYOOM IS THE BIGGEST ROADBLOCK TO DEMOCRACY....

the answer lies herein...

1. The whole foundation of the MDP was laid to bring democracy to the Maldives. Our Beloved Leader and President for Life, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom is the biggest hindrance to reach this goal of establishing a democratic Maldives. People joined MDP not to bring Kenereege Mohamed Nasheed (Anni) to power. They joined because they wanted democracy established in the Maldives. Therefore Anni and the MDP owe it to its members to choose the best path to get rid of our Leader for Life. At this moment in time by joining the Qasim coalition appears to be the quickest path to get rid of Our Beloved Leader and President for Life.

2. Anni was given the mandate to run for Presidency because someone had to challenge our Beloved Leader and President for Life. People did not back Anni because they wanted him to be the President of the Maldives per se. They backed him because he was seen the most likely challenger to oust Gayoom at the time. People hoped that by backing Anni they could go for a single candidate from the National Unity Alliance (Itthihad)

3. Anni was willing to be Dr. Hassan Saeed's running mate. He said so himself. The reason he was willing to be someone's running mate appears to be because Anni himself beleived that at the time Dr. Hassan Saeed/Anni ticket would be the most sellable to the public. If there is a better option (ie Qasim/Anni ticket) then he owes it to the people of Maldives who he has been promising to bring democracy to, to follow the best option to achieve this task.

The MDP must not lose focus of their principal objective. That is to get rid of our Dear Leader for Life Maumoon. Without getting rid of him there cannot be a democratic Maldives. So even if it is backing Qasim or backing me, the Devil, the MDP owes it to the people to walk the best path to getting rid of our Leader for Life and God, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.

If they fail to follow this and Gayoom wins the next election and democracy is waylaid for another five years, then it would be betraying the thousands of people who joined them.

Like my Kaafa said, "I did not join the MDP to bring any particular person to power. I joined the MDP in the hope of getting rid of golhaabo and hoping the Maldives would be free from this "fureytha" (His words, not mine! hehehe)

DRP admits that its MPs are corrupt

Baaaa! Baaaa! Baaaa!

The fiasco relating to the election of the new Speaker to the Majlis is Ãœber-fascinating. First the fact that Sun Travel Siyam was deemed ineligible to vote because he had not sent in his resignation from his position in the MTDC; and following from that the decision to re-take the vote. While the results of the voting are captivating, what is even more stupendous is how the self-proclaimed ruling-party the DRP reacted to the news.

The maths is easy even for a primary school kid. When Mohamed Shihab was elected the Speaker of the Majlis, he got 25 votes as opposed to Seena Zahir’s 22. Since the DRP has 28 members in the Majlis and assuming the two absentees would have voted for Seena Zahir, he is still missing FOUR DRP votes. And if we go with the hypothesis that the DRP is right about claming that the Republican Party bribed the MPs, then that means the DRP admits that its own members are corrupt and are willing to solicit bribes. Bloody Hell. That’s a first!

Indeed, this certainly is a turning point in the ‘transparency’ of politics in the Maldives – the so-called ruling party willing to accept that its ranks are rife with corrupt politicians. Hehe. Nothing new that the rest of the Maldives did not know. This has been the modus operandi of our beloved leader for 30 years. Moreover, we always knew that if someone is willing to indulge in bribes from one side in the form of lucrative tourism deals and a ministership or the likes of a top-level government job, then they would be equally willing change side if a better deal is offered. When our Beloved God and President for Life bribed those parliamentarians who joined the DRP with lucrative offers, he should have realised that when our forefathers talked about the “goat who jumped over one fence will jump over the other” (eh fulhah mathin funmaali bakari aneh fulhah mathin ves funmaa laaney), it was not without substance. But then maybe our beloved President for Life did not believe it because it is not an Arab saying from the corridors of Egypt and is just an ordinary Dhivehi saying from the fisher-folk of the Maldives.

The question is what really happened? IF the DRP parliamentarians voted for Shihab against their party whip because they truly believed that he is the better man for the job than an unelected MP, then well done to them. But IF the DRP is right in their claim, this does not bode well for democracy because it means that our parliamentarians are soliciting bribes, whether to support their networks of patronage or just to reward themselves. What is even worse is that our potential leaders of tomorrow (Republican Party or whoever did it) are willing to bribe to get their way to get what they want (in effect, the same policy as Our Beloved Leader for Life, Golhaabo.) So despite a revised constitution, we have not moved foreword an inch.

It maybe "Veritas nunquam perit" (truth never dies) but it may never be known. But for the sake of democracy and for the sake of a better future for my (future) kids, I hope it’s the case of the honest parliamentarian than a corrupt one.

And meanwhile, the DRP goat bleats on…Baaa! Baaa! Baaa!

Cras credemus, hodie nihil!

In defence of our beloved President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom

"Three cabinet ministers have rallied to the prime minister's defence, insisting he is the right man for the job.
Alistair Darling, Harriet Harman and John Denham have declared their support for the beleaguered Gordon Brown.
Skills secretary Mr Denham told BBC One Mr Brown had a "profound understanding of what this country needs"."
so reports the BBC.

When cabinet ministers in the UK can rally to Brown's defence, how come in our country only people like Reeko Ibrahim Manik (the Jinni Summoner), Mavota Sareef and Kuvaa Sahhaafu Shafiu rally to the defence of our beloved President for Life, Golhaabo? Where are all the cabinet Ministers to go and defend their God and outline the various fake promises for the next five years? Where? Where Where? OK Azima the correspondence course LLB Half-Attorney General does it some times I know..and so does Kutti Nasheed the Minister of Misinformation but one cannot seriously count them in as stalwarts of the cabinets.

I know a few MInisters have resigned from the cabinet. But at the last count we have 19 cabinet Ministers. Among these the most senior are (I know I know..there are still a senile group of SENIOR MINISTERS-leave them for a while)

1 Ismail Shafeeu, Minister of Defence and National Security

2 Mr. Ahmed Abdullah Minister of Environment, Energy and Water

3. Mr. Ilyas Ibrahim Minister of Health

4. Mr. Hamdun Hameed, Minister of Planning and National Development

Now why cant they, why wont they go and defend our beloved President for Life and God, Golhaa the Boa? Instead of him having to resort to dirty tactics like the now infamous List of Liars (I know Dirty is his middle name - leave that aside) they can go and glorify our God and make empty promises for the next five years? Why are they relying on imbeciles like Reeko Ibrahim Maniku and Mavota Stupid Sareef? Even Thasmeen the so-called Running Mate-to-be is not willing to go and praise the Lord? Even when our Beloved Leader for LIfe gave the interview to the journos it was the three "Hussari Bai" ladies of the cabinet who were with him.

My Kaafa tells me that it is because even they realize that the President is doomed. No one is willing to stand up and defend him in public because he is indefensible. I hope my Kaafa is wrong because what will we do without our God? Aaaaaaaaaaaah!

When I was a kid in school, we had a duty rota for the class to oversee that the other kids kept the class tidy before they left it. I suggest that our beloved President for Life keeps a duty rota and get these Ministers to move their arses to go and defend him starting from Ismail Shafeeu. IF he refuses, sack him and make Reeko Ibrahim Maniku, the Jinni Summoner, the Defence Minister. Some Jinni's in the MNDF is not a bad idea, What d'ya say?

GOLHAABO & LONG LOST RELATIVES - Are you related to Golhaabo?

“You can't hide your lyin' eyes
And your smile is a thin disguise
I thought by now you'd realize
There ain't no way to hide your lyin eyes”
– The Eagles-

Are you related to Golhaabo our Beloved President for Life?

I am devastated that I am not. I am only related to Brad Pitt. If you trace my family history at some point in the past, we would have shared the same ancestors. The most convincing evidence of my family connection is that everyone says that I look so much like my beybe Brad Pitt. In fact, they say we could even be twins hehe.

Now that we are in the climate of finding long lost relatives suddenly, I thought I should also let the whole world know about my brother Brad. I mean I have not told anyone about it for the last 26 years but then why should I be coy about it now? Golhaa the Gayoom has suddenly claimed that Mariya Didi is his relative and I believe Golhaa is not lying (NO! our God does not lie).

Apparently Golhaabo has brought out a book on his family tree (Leggi Baburu Aailaa) and would you believe it SELLING IT for Rf 150. It is published by the National Library and is available in all major books shops in Male’. Walk into any of the bookshops (or the National Libary) and ask for "Leggi Baburu Aailaa - Mathifushuge Mauloomaath" and they will show it to you.

Could you believe it? The bastard is even charging us for letting us know who is related to him and who is not in the hope of getting some more votes. And there is no way we can verify whether it is true. We will have to take his word for it (or the word of 'Long Muneera' who wrote it). And the money from the sale of his book is going to be used to buy the votes of those relatives who are not satisfied with just a mention of their names in the book. And mind you, that is only his father’s side of the family. Wait till his mother's side of the family is published. And then of course there is the Endheri Family History to come out as well.

And all this is done with state money. Bloody hell. I demand that my family tree is also published by the National Library. I am sure more people will buy the Pitt family tree than Leggi Baburu Aailaa.

In any case, I think by the time the Presidential Elections come we will all be related to Golhaabo.

To those of you who are not on Golhaabo’s family tree book do not despair. You could still find your names in the Bangaalhee Family Tree book KEKEKEKE

Curried politics - The chicken or the egg debate of Maldivian Presidential Elections

It’s been a while but I have to put in my two cents-bit into the Qasim for President debate especially the argument that he is the best person to get rid of golhabo. Having read the DO editorial on Qasim Iburahim and the heated comments it had raised, I have come to the conclusion that all this boils down to the chicken or the egg situation. That is to say, Do we get rid of golhabo first or do we find a decent leader to run this country? Which one should come first?

The debate on whether the chicken or the egg came first has baffled philosophers, scientists, theologians and barmy students like moi for centuries. Compared to this, the question of whether golhabo should be got rid of first and then finding a decent leader would follow later or whether we should find a decent leader first and in the process golhabo would be got rid of, has baffled the Maldives from the various holhu ashi of the islands to the tea-shops of Male’. After an achingly extensive brain-storming session with my barmy mates, I have come to the conclusion that it all ultimately boils down to whether the chicken came first or the egg.

Assuming that ‘getting rid of golhabo’ is the Chicken and ‘finding a decent leader’ is the Egg, for the simple reason that golhabo looks more like a kukulhu than Anni, Ibra, Qasim or any of the other candidates, let’s have a look at what is already said on the topic. (For those of you with differing opinions on who look more like a kukulhu, please leave a comment to that effect).

1.According to some the egg came first, because other animals had been laying eggs long before chickens existed, such as the dinosaurs- therefore, we need to find a decent leader first before we think of getting rid of golhabo.

2. According to others the chicken came first because had the egg come first, there would have been no chicken to sit on it and keep it warm – therefore we need to get rid of golhabo first before we can think of a decent leader.

As this does not resolve the issue, we need to resort to a different way of solving this.

What are the criteria needed to be a decent leader and who ticks most of the boxes? Qasim, Anni, Ibra, Hassan, Umar Naseer?

Or what are the criteria needed to get rid of golhabo and who ticks most of the boxes?

If we can come up with the same name in both questions then we have resolved the issue of the chicken and the egg. They are one and the same.

If we do not come up with the same name in both questions we are back to square one (or back to the kukulhu koshi so as to speak).

In such an instance I would suggest resorting to a simpler personal solution. Which do you like most? Chicken curry or egg-curry? If it’s the chicken-curry then vote for Qasim. If its egg-curry vote for Anni or Hassan or Ibra or Umar Naseer or whoever is brave enough (or stupid enough) to run against Golhabo.

Either way let’s go and vote and get rid of this bastard golhabo.

Curried golhabo for dinner tonight?

New or old constitution, Golhabo is doomed.

"
Link from Dhivehi Observer

so the poor old bugger has totally lost his head now...that's what multi-infarct dementia (MID) does to you.

Among the symptoms of MID include memory loss followed by trouble making judgments. This often progresses to delirium, hallucinations, and thinking problems.

The above clip is ample evidence of this.

And now here is something for the future. We should have hope that we are getting close to seeing the end of this evil dictator. This is the song that Bill Clinton's campaign team used - to inspire the millions of Americans that the days of the Ronald Reagan and the Republican rule is finally over. I think its time we Maldivians started singing this...

"Dont stop thinking about tomorrow...it will soon be here...yesterday's gone.,yesterday's gone."

Will he? Wont he? Ratify the new constitution.

Will he? Wont he? Ratify the new constitution.

Me thinks not. My brother is convinced that this is the end of His Mightiness Golhabo Gayoom the one and only. He is kicked to bits and between you and I, it is as if he will be the next occupant of Theemuge.

But getting back to the topic, I think we are being naive here to think that someone who has clung on to this power as if it is his birthright for 30 odd years is going to just coolly pick his gold embossed Mont Blanc pen and sign on the dotted line, signing away his chance of another 5 if possible 10 years in office? Nah! I think it is pretty naive to think that he will. He will fight tooth and nail to cling on to his power. He will throw all of us in Dhoonidhoo if he has to. He will stay in his Presidential Palace even if the whole world is against him.

But still the amendment to the constitution limiting the terms that anyone can be President to just two is indeed good news for all of us. But to think that, that could still lead our beloved Golhabo to stay in office for another 10 years is just plain scary. If he gets his way (and mind you, he would try his level best) then we are talking of having golhabo until 2018! Bloody hell! I would probably be married with two point four children and possibly going bald by then.

No way! We need to find a way to get rid of him. No, I dont mean to try and stab him. I certainly dont want to make a matyr out of him and make a ziyaaraiy. I mean we need to ensure that this bastard is not allowed to run for office ever again. Hmm, I need to put on my thinking cap for this. Any tips anyone?

But for now, I am celebrating that at least in 2018 it maybe me running for the post. Now THAT is a nice thought.

Golhabo prevents Hassan Saeed from running for President

I heard that our beloved God and leader for Life, Golhabo is going to propose an excellent amendment to our constitution that would in effect put an end to Dr. Hassan Saeed’s Presidential bid. He is going to ensure that no one with a foreign wife can become the President of the Maldives. The excuse that his cronies give is that someone with a Jewish or Christian wife might become the President of Maldives. But I am flabbergasted as to why they did not propose exactly that? I mean surely if that is the case, why not just say so instead of using the word “Foreign”?

No, this is nothing but the most outrageous, vile and despicable act to block Dr. Hassan Saeed from ever running for office. Our beloved gutless leader for life was too chicken to even face Hassan Saeed at an election, even though Golhabo has all the state’s vote rigging machinery at his disposal. Not only that, they are also putting an age bar on it so that anyone below forty would not be able to run for office too - incase Dr. Hassan S might decide to divorce his wife.

All this reminds me of an Aesop’s Fable I used to read as a child.

The Wolf and the Lamb

WOLF, meeting with a Lamb astray from the fold, resolved not to lay violent hands on him, but to find some plea to justify to the Lamb the Wolf's right to eat him. He thus addressed him: "Sirrah, last year you grossly insulted me." "Indeed," bleated the Lamb in a mournful tone of voice, "I was not then born." Then said the Wolf, "You feed in my pasture." "No, good sir," replied the Lamb, "I have not yet tasted grass." Again said the Wolf, "You drink of my well." "No," exclaimed the Lamb, "I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother's milk is both food and drink to me." Upon which the Wolf seized him and ate him up, saying, "Well! I won't remain supperless, even though you refute every one of my imputations."

The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny.

Blogger Prison Sentence a slap in the face for freedom of expression

"Amnesty International today (22 February) condemned the four-year sentence handed down by an Egyptian court against blogger Karim Amer, and called for his immediate and unconditional release.

Amnesty International UK Director Kate Allen said:

"This sentence is yet another slap in the face of freedom for expression in Egypt.

"Karim Amer is a prisoner of conscience who is being prosecuted on account of the peaceful expression of his views.

"The Egyptian authorities must repeal laws which allow people to be thrown in prison just for exercising their right to free speech, be it online or offline.

'We are deeply worried that the Egyptian authorities are now targeting bloggers in their attempts to stifle free speech.

'Sadly this is not confined to Egypt. In countries around the world, governments are targeting bloggers, closing websites and censoring internet searches. The internet is the new front in the battle between those who want to speak out and those who would stop them.'

Karim Amer is the first Egyptian blogger to be tried for writing blogs criticizing Egypt's al-Azhar religious authorities, President Husni Mubarak and Islam. Charges against him included "spreading information disruptive of public order and damaging to the country's reputation", "incitement to hate Islam" and "defaming the President of the Republic".

Sounds familiar? No wonder my friend was worried about the blogging. Golhaabo studied in Egypt after all. Remember what he did to the Sandhaanu people?

stay away from politics in the Maldives? what a joke

Got a call last night. My friend wanted to know what I hoped to gain by this blog spot. My question is do I have to "gain" anything? The gist of the argument was there must be a motive, a political motive. WTF! This is my blog where I write whatever bull I want and I don't particularly care two kavaabus if people don't even know that it exists let alone read it. This is where I spill out my gut churning, projectile vomitting, carcinogens and I will continue to do so as long as I please. If he thinks that I am doing this for a political reason, he can go and lick a certain ageing, pimpled derriere.

After the conversation, I realised that my friend's concerns aren't without a reason after all. In the Maldives, every action, every reaction is often politically related even if not motivated. While there are many who tries their level best to stay out of the political sphere, it inevitably lands on them and drags them helplessly into this vortex of lies, corruption, power and greed. A few years ago as long as you remain silent you may be able to escape. Now its no more. Even if you are a hapless bystander, you have no guarantee that you will be able to remain a bystander for long. Someone you know, someone close to you would be embedded deeply inside this political game and you are forced to take sides. And the best way to even try and remain a bystander is to play the political game..what a paradox aye?

So I am not surprised that my friend thought I had an ultimate motive in this and refuses to accept that this is just a tool for letting out my frustrations.

When is the next cabinet reshuffle? hehe

Poli what? err? aye? Politics? what the hell is that?

My grandad's friend Adambe told my dad today that he doesn't understand politics.

When my dad prompted him to explain what he meant, Adambe said, "Katheeb told me that having political parties would be a bad thing for the Maldives. And I believed him. Then he told me later, it is a good thing. So I believed him again. Then he told me a few months back, It is a good thing as long as I join DRP. Now I am confused."

Join the Club.

From a particular point of view, politics is confusing. What do we achieve by trying to convert Maldives into a multi-party democracy? Do we really think we are going to be better off? Better-off for who? For those who are desperately trying to join the political rat-race in the hope that they would eventually end up in the higher echelons of power? Or for those average Maldivian trying to improve his life? Fine, we have a multi-party system now. Every Tom, Dick and Harry is now trying to register a party (even if some claim that they have no desire to run for office but just to highlight the social ills of life. In that respect, I would assume that registering an NGO would have a better impact but then....)

But where does all this lead to? Don't get me wrong. I am all for a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Only I doubt there exists a single one in this world. Doesn't mean we can't be the pioneers in the Maldives!

For most of us (and here I am taking the liberty of speaking for the most of us) politicking have now reached a stage where we are not sure what it has achieved so far and where it is taking us. The MDP has done their shouting on the road. They have had their activists arrested. They have been able to draw cartoons of the President and print them in magazines. The international media has taken an interest even if lukewarm about the Maldives. The President has formed "the ruling party". Instead of asking people whether they supported Victory or New Radiant, people now ask whether they belong to MDP or DRP. The word "Golhaabo" has become a new part of our everyday vocabulary. People log into the net to check DO before they even have breakfast. People we never thought and heard of have suddenly become a big part of the "Sarukaaru".

WHAT ELSE?

For the Maldivian worried about how he is going to buy the school books for his kids, how he is going to pay for the medical treatment of his ailing mother, how he is going to find the money to rebuild his house so that his daughter will have a room when she gets married, worried whether his son would become the next drug addict, whether it would be his house that would get broken into next...I doubt whether he could see the light at the end of this political tunnel.

So if this is all what politics is about it is hardly suprising that Adambe is confused.

I am off for some coffee and some de-confusing time...

maybe do some "Golhaabo Faibaa" therapy on the way......
